Around Ann Arbor 2026
I’m actually backfilling these.1 I haven’t decided if I have the patience to do them all. I moved off Instagram because I’m not particularly interested in Meta products, VSCO is not appealing to me anymore, and I just haven’t decided if I want to move back to Flickr.
This was early in the summer and most of the deer were scruffy. This one was surprisingly unconcered about my presence (despite the expression).

These were luck. I didn’t think the duck would let me get so close and then I suddenly realized it was way less concerned than I was. Again I wonder, as I type this, if I should spend additional money on this hobby.
I don’t think it quite comes across in these reduced versions. (I still haven’t quite decided how I want these posts designed.) The face is very goofy/striking to me.

There are more pictures of this group around. They hang out near a particular park. More than once I’ve watched them cross this road.

This chipmunk almost utterly lacked fear. I was real real close and I didn’t try to press any further because I thought it’d bolt when I brought up the camera.

Could I try my hand at birds? Maybe. There’s a photo I took earlier in the year that had me asking the question.

I got a few of these, but I think this was the best one. I didn’t want to bother it too much so I didn’t necessarily get what I wanted.
I do have a thing for monarchs, but I think most people do.

Antlers in this park are new to me, but I haven’t really been going long enough to say how rare it is to see them.

So I’m writing them backwards basically. ↩
