September's Bandcamp Friday

Bandcamp Friday was September fifth. I like to save music to my Bandcamp wishlist and then make a big selection for purchase every Bandcamp Friday. Here's what I bought this time.

I'm not entirely sure where I stumbled on Isiliel but J-idol black metal space rock is far too compelling to ignore and Himari Tsukishiro is excellent at wailing through the pounding guitars.

Deliciously fun punk rock, reminiscent of Peaches.

Backxwash is so so boisterously viscerally genuine. I am distraught they are not a household name.

Is this a Libyan cover of Pink Floyd's Another Brick in the Wall?

Queen of the Stone Age's latest. I always enjoy the pressure of their guitar licks.

I know White often credits Captain Beefheart but I am often most reminded of Flat Duo Jets.

The best kind of power metal. A certain kind of dramatic strangeness and a lot of impressive wailing.

I admit to being late to Castle Rat and the whole dungeon-core genre. I have been a fool.

Middle-eastern progressive doom metal? I am ready for it.

A classic punk blast from the past that feels depressingly relevant.

Godspeed You! Black Emperor's latest is everything I love from the band.
